Ms. Elvington dedicates her practice to Florida criminal appeals and post-conviction matters.  While her office is located in the Tampa area, she represents clients throughout Florida, including Orlando, Miami, Jacksonville and Tallahassee.


She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida and graduated from Penn State University Dickinson School of Law, cum laude.  Ms. Elvington began her legal career working in civil litigation with a large Tampa firm; however, within a short period of time she dedicated her work to criminal defense.  Ms. Elvington was a criminal trial attorney  where she tried cases in both State and Federal Court, including the Nation's first Patriot Act case tried in Tampa, Florida.  

 

In 2005 Ms. Elvington entered private practice and focused exclusively on criminal appeals and post-conviction cases.  More than 10 years later, Ms. Elvington continues in that mission.


She handles cases ranging from misdemeanor offenses to first-degree murder. Ms. Elvington has handled hundreds of direct criminal appeals and post-conviction matters throughout the State of Florida, and works extensively with licensed attorneys as a consultant.​


Ms. Elvington has experience teaching at the university level, and has taught  criminal law, constitutional law, domestic violence law, legal research & writing, and wrongful convictions.
